The SMX Plus V2 Boots combine inner instep speed lacing, a Lace-Lock system, a lateral zipper, and a micro-adjustable top ratchet to fine-tune the fit.
Are the SMX Plus V2 Boots CE-certified, and what ankle protection do they provide?
The SMX Plus V2 Boots are CE-certified to EN 13634:2017. Their Multi-Link Control system supports ankle articulation while limiting excessive twisting, extension, and flexion, and provides ankle and Achilles impact protection. Additional protective features include a contoured shin plate, a wide heel counter with shock-absorbing padding, and self-molding ankle protectors.
Do the SMX Plus V2 Boots have ventilation for warm-weather riding?
Yes. The SMX Plus V2 Boots feature strategically positioned ventilation areas in the heel and shin TPU, plus lateral ventilation in the heel counter. Breathable lining around the ankle and leg supports moisture and heat management during riding. These features provide airflow without relying on a fully perforated upper.
Are the SMX Plus V2 Boots designed for road riding or track use?
The SMX Plus V2 Boots are designed for road racing and sport riding, making them suitable for sport-focused street riding and track use. Their lightweight microfiber upper and front and rear accordion flex zones balance structured support with movement, while the textured rubber sole and anatomical EVA footbed support grip and feel at the motorcycle controls.
Can the toe and heel sliders on the SMX Plus V2 Boots be replaced?
Yes. The SMX Plus V2 Boots feature replaceable dual-density TPU toe sliders with screw-in attachment, along with replaceable heel and external side heel sliders. The anatomical EVA footbed is also replaceable. Use replacement components specified for the SMX Plus V2 model to maintain correct fit and attachment.
