Are the Stella SMX-6 V3 Drystar® Boots waterproof?
Yes. The Stella SMX-6 V3 Drystar® Boots have a waterproof and breathable Drystar® liner for wet-weather riding. The upper is constructed from abrasion-resistant microfiber, while the liner provides the waterproof barrier and supports moisture management.
How should I choose my size for the Stella SMX-6 V3 Drystar® Boots?
These boots have a dedicated women-specific fit and an ergonomic last with a streamlined forefoot for control on the bike. The Black Silver variant is listed in EU sizes 36–43. Consult the Alpinestars footwear size guide rather than assuming the same fit as another boot model.
Try them with your intended riding socks and check for a secure fit without painful pressure points. The elastic front gaiter, medial zipper and wide hook-and-loop closure help refine the fit around the lower leg.
What CE certification and ankle protection do the Stella SMX-6 V3 Drystar® Boots have?
The Stella SMX-6 V3 Drystar® Boots are CE certified to EN 13634:2017, the motorcycle protective footwear standard. Their lateral TPU ankle brace provides biomechanical support between the upper calf, shin and ankle while allowing ankle articulation.
Additional protection includes dual-density TPU ankle protectors, a TPU shin plate, a rear calf TPU bridge, internal toe-box protection and replaceable screw-in TPU toe sliders.
Can I use the Stella SMX-6 V3 Drystar® Boots for both street riding and track days?
Yes. These boots are designed for road and track sport riding, combining race-derived protective components with a waterproof Drystar® liner. The streamlined forefoot and lightweight rubber sole support precise operation of the motorcycle’s controls.
The compact TPU shin plate is designed to fit under riding pants. For organized track days, check the event’s footwear requirements before riding.
Are the Stella SMX-6 V3 Drystar® Boots designed for walking comfort off the bike?
Yes. Their flexible microfiber upper and front and rear flex zones are designed to support natural forward and backward foot movement and improve walking comfort. These zones combine textile over 3D mesh with soft TPU.
A removable anatomic EVA footbed with a Lycra top adds underfoot comfort, while an integrated insole shank supports the arch. They remain protective motorcycle sport boots rather than dedicated walking footwear.
