Le GP Pro Comp v2 est doté d'une coque extérieure en matériau lisse développé exclusivement pour Alpinestars, associée à un doux doublure en tricot aramidique pour un niveau optimal de confort, de protection, de légèreté et de confort. Grâce à l'introduction d'une doublure à base aramidique à structure ouverte, ce costume offre une respirabilité améliorée et cela est renforcé encore plus par les panneaux en maille extensible tricotée stratégiquement placés sur le dos, l'entrejambe et l'emmanchure pour un flux d'air supplémentaire et une plus grande flexibilité, à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur de la voiture. Ce costume comprend également des détails innovants en technologie de grip en silicone sur les épaules et le bas du dos pour empêcher tout mouvement avec le siège de la voiture ou un dispositif HANS et également pour réduire la pression sur les épaules.
